If you love teaching English and have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, this is your best chance to combine the two vocations.
Edulit is looking for an English Language Arts expert to join the team as an equity partner and fill our online practice tool with engaging practice material, which will replace the traditional tutoring for students from K–12. We will count on your ability to create material that will fully immerse our users in an incredible practice experience.
On the education side, you’ll bring excellent writing and communication skills, the ability to simply explain complex concepts and a genuine passion for teaching. On the entrepreneurial side, you’ll have a desire to be part of an exciting start-up, combined with a team-first attitude that makes us and our business better.
Create a curriculum for all grade levels, including learning objectives.
Design fun, engaging and interactive practice material for grade K–12 students.
Advise our engineers on how best to deliver the material.
Collaborate with our illustrator to create visually-rich content.
Be an active member of our executive team as the company grows.
In addition to a Masters or PhD in English or a related field:
you have taught or tutored English at the high school or college level; and you have experience in curriculum development;
you’re up to date with the current educational neuroscience research;
you understand the anxieties poor academic skills can create in children;
you have a passion for eLearning and you have ideas for making it better; and
you’re a superior communicator and can simplify complex concepts.
Three reasons to join the Edulit team:
Because it’s an opportunity to get involved at the early stages of a new way to improve the way students learn English.
Because the feedback we’ve received about our platform has been overwhelmingly positive.
Because while we’re a for-profit EduTech company, we have a keen sense of social responsibility. We believe all kids deserve the chance to enrich their education regardless of their socio-economic status, and our business model reflects this.
THIS IS A NON-SALARIED POSITION. COMPENSATION WILL COME IN THE FORM OF MONTHLY PAYOUT OF PROFIT. IN ADDITION, AN EQUITY SHARE OPTION WILL BE AVAILABLE.
We’re an educational technology company that addresses the main reason students do poorly: not enough practice.
We create practice tools for students from K–12: responsive adaptive technology for grades K–5 to make learning fun, and expert-led personalized practice materials for grades 6–12 to make learning relevant. All tools lead learners to mastery.
Our products are the result of current research in education and technology, and our passion for both shines through in everything we make.
